I want to know about DMA how importent it is and how to use it. In AMI when we set DMA it asks for type and displacement too what r these things and what r there impact.

Actually the definitions we can find from books made available at the forum.after all book is more academic with model cases while reality is not exact replica of those model cases.
I guess we look for your experience with some of the indicators. in what way a certain is better than the other as applied to KSE.

Actually Zia Khatri sahib from the Yahoo forums recently termed the 10 DMA to be the most useful indicator for KSE-100. Coming from such a source with considerable experience in KSE, this advice ought to be taken seriously. Such tid bits are always welcome since our equity markets are already so under-studied. Even in cross-market research conducted by western analysts, the closest they come to our markets is India. For example I read today that Bollinger bands when applied to the US and UK markets produced data containment rates upto 90% while the same figures for India where around 86%.
