HBL CY11 - Result Preview
HBL is scheduled to announce its result for CY11 on Feb 24’12 and we expect the bank to post earnings of PKR 21.49bn (EPS PKR 19.50), up by 26% YoY from PKR 17.03bn (EPS PKR 15.46) last year. Earnings for 4Q CY11 are anticipated at PKR 5.77bn (EPS PKR 19.50), up by a marginal 1% QoQ while annual growth is more impressive at 19%. Moreover, we also expect the bank to announce a final dividend of PKR 4.00/share, bringing total payout for CY11 to PKR 7.00/share along with a bonus issue of 10%.

NII is expected to rise by 19% YoY where both higher NIMs and average earning assets emerge as drivers behind the growth. Similarly, non-markup income is expected to rise by 17% YoY with dividends and higher forex income stimulating growth. On the flip side, non-markup expense, up by 20% YoY, is estimated to limit PPOP growth during CY11 to 15% YoY.
